J.Cole is a little tired of all the excuses celebrities do these days, especially when most of the backtracking is based on development contracts and the fear of bad public relations.

That said ... the rapper is really sorry!

Cole issued a statement on its official blog yesterday, in response to the controversy surrounding a line, he sings about his collaboration with Drake, "Jodeci Freestyle."

The lyrics are as follows:
"Go see the dummy numbers,. Is it just me gettin 'started / I'm artistic, you n * ggas is autistic, retarded"
Cole said in his note of apology:
"I was immediately embarrassed that I'd be pretty ignorant to say something so hurtful. What makes the worst crime is that I should have known better."
The artist went on to say his mea culpa is "sincere" and "necessary", adding:

For the entire autism community has expressed outrage, I am moved and inspired by your passion, and I am amazed at how strong you are as a unit. Now I have read stories of parents about their struggles and triumphs in line with raising an autistic child and I admire the incredibly strong way, you should be doing. It's touching. It also makes what I was even more embarrassing for me. I feel shame. You have every right to be angry.

For anyone with autism, slightly or seriously, I'm sorry. I have to make mistakes in my life, but in my heart, I want to spread the love.

We must say these words ring true to many as the Paula Deen apology that followed his insensitive racist comments.
